Description

Let me introduce you to a groundbreaking carbon fiber-reinforced silicon carbide composite (CMC) that I have patented. This innovative material offers significant advantages for applications in advanced fighter jets and missiles.

High-Performance CMC with Lower Sintering Temperature

My invention addresses the limitations of conventional CF-SiC composites. These materials typically require extremely high sintering temperatures (>1400°C), which limits material options and increases manufacturing costs. Additionally, high temperatures can weaken the bond between the fibers and the matrix, compromising the composite's performance at elevated temperatures, and this material can operate at elevated temperatures without the issue of carbon fiber oxidation.

My patented CMC overcomes these challenges by:

  • Achieving sintering at a significantly lower temperature (around 900°C).
  • Maintaining exceptional thermal stability and functionality above 1500°C.
  • Combining the exceptional strength of carbon fibers with the outstanding thermal stability of silicon carbide.

Benefits for Fighter Jets and Missiles

This innovative CMC offers the potential for:

  • Lighter and stronger airframes: Reduced weight translates to improved fuel efficiency and maneuverability.
  • Enhanced heat management in engines and propulsion systems.
  • Improved performance of missile components exposed to high temperatures.

TRL Certification and Licensing Opportunity

To further support the potential of this technology, I am pleased to include a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) certificate from the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC). This certificate verifies the development stage of my invention, demonstrating its advancement beyond theoretical concepts.

I am confident that this technology has the potential to significantly improve the performance and capabilities of advanced fighter jets and missiles. I am interested in exploring a licensing agreement with your company to bring this innovation to market.

I have attached the following documents for your reference:

  • Patent Description
  • TRL Certificate from the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC)

I would be happy to schedule a call to discuss the details further and answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

K.V RAM CHARAN.
